DuBaI DrEaMZ
alrite ,, if you're planning to come to dubai in near future ,, and if you really want to survive,, here are some tips (here i go again)
do not get shocked to see puddles of water wherever u stand ,, its just your sweat
if you find blonde girls calling you on the streets,, do not mistake yourself to be exceptionally good looking, famous or popular,, u r actually looking desperate
you dont really need to join the gym ,, everything here is far and you have to walk your way ,, so by the time u walk ur way to the gym ,, it'll be time to come back or you'll run out of energy
stop calculating in indian rupees ,, if you dont stop that you could die thirsty and hungry on the roads,, seriously (this almost happened to me)
dont get shocked if an Arab screws and whacks you over for swearing in hindi ,, the motherfuckers understand hindi,,, hindi and tamil are the national languages unofficially,, these days i use gujarati to swear :)
friendly neighbours is an obsolete term here,, its normal to not know your neighbour even after decades of living next door, and stop smiling when u meet them,, or they'll call u a asshole in chinese with a smile.
and dont get shocked if you see your millionaire friend from india living in a studio flat with 8 other indians doing their own dishes and laundry and still calling it luxurious,, trust me ,, it is (luckily i live in a furnished studio flat with my uncle and cousin and we have a cook and maid :) )
air conditioner is not a luxury,,you could faint and land up in a hospital if u try to save on electricity,, one of my friend did.
on a serious note now ,, dubai is expensive, the rent u pay here could create an amazing asset base in india but good food at reasonable prices is easily available
its a beautiful place with very beautiful women, you'll know exactly how it feels when u have gold all around u and u cant touch it
but guys ,, trust me ,, this place has opportunity ,, you have to work hard in the start but you can lead a good life, time here breezes away,, before u realize the day's over,, i guess its because i've never really seen a fast life.. but its fun ,, a whole new experience to live,, i'll post some pictures soon :)
